Title:The Adventures of Tom and Barard
Category: slash.
Rating: NC-17 for sexual content. Contains violence, some references to non-consensual sex, and lots of hurt/comfort. I make no money from these stories, and give grateful thanks to JRR Tolkien for providing us with such a richly imagined world to play in.
Chapter 14 has been posted, and can be found here

Barard continues to show signs of improvement. Becoming immersed into a hobby is a very good sign. It also means that he's becoming more comfortable with his surroundings and the people in it.
This is wonderful as always. Can't wait for more!

Probably a good thing that Tarlos wasn't around for the ride when Frodo and Sam were struggling through Mordor. Gollum would have been mincemeat.
Glad you enjoyed. :) Not much more to come now. You could almost write "The End" here, but there's an epilogue to come, and a bonus chapter. :D

Like Tom, I had mixed feelings about mercy when applied to the Jackal. One of the things I loved most about LotR was Frodo's mercy and how it effected the outcome of the story. It is just sad that it can't always be that way.

It's a real dilemma, isn't it?
Me, too. It's influenced the choices I've made in my life. I love Gandalf's "mercy" speech, but I can also understand the difficult choices facing a ruler like Sulos in that culture. It's good to think that Tom, through Faros, may have an influence on the future of Harad. :) In turn, Tom's influence can be traced back through Sam to Frodo. :) :)

And ooh, the love scene. So hot and loving and so fitting for their current situation. Loved how there was humour as well. And hotness, did I say it was hot? :)
Can't wait for more. :)

Thank you , Steffie. I was worried the court part was too long and maybe rather boring in places. One thing I would like to know; did you find the love scene hot? :D ;) :D

Nope, the court part wasn't too long at all. :)
Hot love scene, btw. ;-)
