Thank you, Elycia. I'm still in the planning stage for exactly where this is going, so I don't know if I'll be breaking hearts. Actually, if it goes to character death, I'm hoping it will be more uplifting than heartbreaking.

How wonderful to see Catos and Faros still happily together (so the Khand didn't damage them TOO badly, eh?)

Well, they've had a lot of time to get over that little escapade. Legolas might consider Catos as "young" but he's 60 by the time Elessar dies, and Faros is 73, so that Khand adventure is more than 40 years ago. Faros is a grandfather, Catos never did marry.
